Investing.com – Japan stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Sapporo Holdings Ltd. (TYO:), which rose 8.23% or 566.00 points to trade at 7,441.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Citizen Holdings Co., Ltd. (TYO:) added 5.66% or 56.00 points to end at 1,046.00 and Dainippon Screen Mfg. Co., Ltd. (TYO:) was up 3.02% or 535.00 points to 18,275.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yamaha Corp. (TYO:), which fell 5.83% or 205.00 points to trade at 3,313.00 at the close. DOWA Holdings Co., Ltd. (TYO:) declined 5.75% or 317.00 points to end at 5,198.00 and Pacific Metals Co., Ltd. (TYO:) was down 4.98% or 69.00 points to 1,317.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2803 to 942 and 143 ended unchanged.

Shares in Dainippon Screen Mfg. Co., Ltd. (TYO:) rose to all time highs; rising 3.02% or 535.00 to 18,275.00.
